Nationally, over 150 women are killed annually in England and Wales, one in eight experienced domestic abuse or sexual assault, and one in four will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. A Survation survey revealed 57% of London women feel unsafe on streets, rising to 68% among 18-24 year-olds, with 50% believing the city has become less safe over five years. High-profile murders including Sarah Everard, Nicole Smallman, Bibaa Henry, Sabina Nessa, and Zara Aleena have exposed institutional failings and systemic issues.
