A 39-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Mitcham, south London, with police launching a manhunt for the suspected attacker, who is believed to have known the victim. Officers were called to Maple Close, Mitcham, at 7.30pm on Monday along with the ambulance service who arrived in less than a minute.
The victim lived in the road with his family and had become involved in an argument with a man who is known to sometimes visit the area.
The Met has increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance.
