Transport for London (TfL) has initiated a crackdown on bike hire companies Lime and Forest for the issue of abandoned e-bikes affecting public roadways. After issuing 333 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and sending over 190 warning letters, TfL emphasized compliance with its new dockless rental bike policies established last year. Mayor Sadiq Khan acknowledged the importance of these rentals but indicated that poor parking leads to safety issues. TfL’s enforcement efforts, including the use of CCTV, aim to ensure better parking practices on key ‘red routes’ in London.
