Angel City wear shirts supporting 'immigrant city'
Briefly

On Saturday, Angel City FC, the NWSL team from Los Angeles, showed its support for immigrants by distributing T-shirts labeled "Immigrant City Football Club." Players and coaches wore the shirts before a match against the North Carolina Courage. The shirts carried the message "Los Angeles is for Everyone" in both English and Spanish, with around 10,000 distributed. This initiative was in response to protests against President Trump’s immigration policies, highlighting the importance of diversity and compassion as the NWSL and WNBA players' unions voiced their support for affected families.
At Angel City, we believe in the power of belonging. We know that our city is stronger because of its diversity and the people and families who shape it.
We stand with all people seeking safety, dignity, and opportunity, no matter where they come from or where they hope to go... Offering compassion should never be up for debate.
