"We've been living under the guise of them tearing us down for about 10 years now."
"We're hoping to be here through the Olympics,"
"We do support Wolfgang,"
Gladstone's is a Pacific Palisades seafood restaurant that opened in 1972 and has occupied its Pacific Coast Highway location since 1981. The restaurant was once owned by former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan and changed ownership after his death in 2023. Gladstone's sustained damage in the early 2025 California wildfires but managed to reopen. City approval has been granted for demolition and replacement with a new restaurant designed by Frank Gehry and operated by Wolfgang Puck, but full approvals and timing could take years. Management expects Gladstone's to remain open through the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and staff support the planned transition.
