"I'm in constant communication with Kiké,"
"I have no doubt that he's gonna be back. Everybody in this clubhouse wants him back."
"He's not gonna be ready until a couple months into the season, but I'm crossing my fingers and keeping the hope that we're going to have Kiké because we all know how important he is for the clubhouse, for the organization, for the fans, for the city of L.A., and he deserves to be with us too."
Miguel Rojas says he is in constant communication with Kiké Hernandez and expresses full confidence Hernandez will re-sign with the Dodgers before the offseason ends. Rojas says everyone in the clubhouse wants Hernandez back. Hernandez underwent surgery to repair an elbow extension muscle after suffering the injury in May and playing through it. Hernandez will miss the 2026 World Baseball Classic and the start of the regular season and is not expected to be ready until a couple months into the season. Hernandez joined the Dodgers ahead of 2025 via trade from the Miami Marlins and has been an important clubhouse presence and veteran utility option.
