UCLA won 7-2 over South Carolina in an NCAA regional matchup at Easton Stadium. South Carolina scored first in the second inning on a home run by Jamie MacKay off Taylor Tinsley. Tinsley responded by striking out Tate Davis and Natalie Heath to end the inning. UCLA’s offense took the lead in the second inning with a two-run home run by Bri Alejandre, followed by a two-run double by Soo-Jin Berry to make it 4-1. Megan Grant hit a two-run home run to extend the lead to 6-1 and reached 39 home runs for the NCAA single-season record.
