"This guy was flying around, and that left an impression on me that week. We weren't able to get him in the draft, but I'm not surprised by the trajectory of his career and what he's been able to accomplish."
"Baltimore is banking on Hendrickson to fly off the edge and immediately upgrade its pass rush, which was one of the weak spots on last season's disappointing season. The Ravens have talked about how Hendrickson has caused them problems over the years, and Hendrickson has totaled the third-most sacks in the NFL over the last three seasons with 41."
"Then, Baltimore showed its confidence in Hendrickson's relentlessness and motor by committing $60 million in guaranteed money, which includes his signing bonus and his salaries in 2026 and 2027."
The Baltimore Ravens signed defensive end Trey Hendrickson to upgrade their pass rush, a weak spot from the previous season. Hendrickson has recorded the third-most sacks in the NFL over the last three seasons with 41 total. General manager Eric DeCosta recalled being impressed by Hendrickson as a small school prospect at the East-West Shrine game nine years ago. The four-year, $112 million contract includes $60 million guaranteed. Hendrickson, who will be 32 before season's end, missed 10 games last season due to a core muscle injury requiring surgery. The Ravens demonstrated confidence in his durability and motor despite recently backing out of a trade for edge rusher Maxx Crosby due to medical concerns.
