"No, it hasn't gone as smoothly as he would like, as we would like,"
"So it's been hard to kind of ramp up the volume that he would need to get back. So my expectation is he will not be back this year."
Brusdar Graterol began the season on the 60-day injured list after offseason surgery to repair the labrum in his right shoulder. He was limited to seven games last season because of hip and shoulder trouble but made three World Series appearances against the New York Yankees. Graterol has reharmed at Camelback Ranch but never advanced to pitching in a Minor League game and has not built necessary throwing volume. Dodgers officials, including Andrew Friedman and manager Dave Roberts, indicated he is unlikely to return this year. Graterol is eligible for one more arbitration year and could become a free agent after 2026. In five seasons with the Dodgers he is 10-8 with a 2.69 ERA, 3.19 FIP and 1.03 WHIP over 181 innings.
