"I really enjoy watching Corbin Carroll in Arizona. There's so many people I love watching. Acuña, which I think everybody really knows about Acuña. Corey Seager in Texas. That's one of my good buddies and I loved seeing him win two (World Series) MVPs. Really, the whole pitching staff in Seattle. The whole pitching staff in Seattle is ridiculous. Castillo and all of them there are ridiculous, so those games are always fun to watch."
"And then really as quiet as it's kept, I enjoy watching Red Sox games because of Cora. I love Alex Cora."
Mookie Betts is beginning his 13th major league season, with more years now spent with the Los Angeles Dodgers than the Boston Red Sox. Beyond his professional career, Betts actively follows other players and teams throughout baseball. During a podcast appearance, he discussed his favorite players to watch, including young outfielder Corbin Carroll of Arizona, Ronald Acuña Jr., former teammate Corey Seager now with Texas, and Seattle's entire pitching staff. Betts also expressed appreciation for Red Sox games, particularly because of manager Alex Cora. Carroll, a talented young outfielder and integral part of Arizona's core, recently earned his second All-Star selection after a disappointing 2024 season but will miss the World Baseball Classic due to a hand injury.
