He added a sticker of the Blue Jays logo to the post, which he said was suggested by the Meta algorithm, and uploaded it to Sneaky Dee's' social media."
"Diamantouros received an email from Rogers on Tuesday telling him to remove the post as it included marks that were intellectual property of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays logo and images of the players can only be used by official partners, according to an emailed statement to CBC Toronto from the Toronto Blue Jays. This is standard practice," per the official statement, though the Toronto Blue Jays encouraged businesses to continue celebrating and watching the team."
Rogers, which owns the Toronto Blue Jays, told Sneaky Dee's to delete a social media post that included the team's trademarked logo. Manager George Diamantouros posted to let patrons know the bar would air Blue Jays games and said a sticker of the logo was suggested by the Meta algorithm. Diamantouros deleted the post after receiving an email from Rogers citing intellectual property marks and said he feared legal action. The Blue Jays stated logos and player images are restricted to official partners but encouraged businesses to continue celebrating and watching the team. Diamantouros shared the email to warn other small businesses.
