"I obviously have seen the Skubal stuff, and I think that seems to be relatively real," Glasnow said. "I've also seen some rumors where I would get traded for him, so it's like, I don't know what to believe."
"I talked to Andrew and our front office and they were like, 'No, you're not going anywhere.' They told me I'm not going to get traded, and I trust them. So that's obviously a nice feeling. I think it would be sick if we went out and got him. He's probably one of the most unbelievable pitchers i've ever seen. ...Just to pitch along with him in the rotation would be a dream, so I hope we get that done."
Tyler Glasnow expressed enthusiasm about the possibility of pitching alongside Tarik Skubal and said the Dodgers told him he is not part of any trade talks. Skubal is a likely trade candidate with one season remaining on his contract and no extension agreement with Detroit. Glasnow praised Skubal as an extraordinary pitcher and called pitching beside him a dream. Skubal won consecutive AL Cy Young awards, posted a 2.21 ERA in 2025, and struck out 241 batters in 195.1 innings. Glasnow produced a 3.19 ERA in 2025 through 18 starts. Adding Skubal without trading Glasnow would create an elite Dodgers rotation as they pursue a 2026 three-peat.
