A minute's appreciation will be held ahead of the Manchester derby in tribute to Ricky Hatton following his death in Manchester at the age of 46. Hatton was born and raised in Manchester and was one of Manchester City's most famous supporters, often wearing the club crest and colours on his way to the ring. Manchester City issued condolences and highlighted his world titles at welterweight and light-welterweight. Vincent Kompany and Wayne Rooney posted personal tributes and photos, and other boxers including Warren and Fury led wider tributes to Hatton's career and character.
