""We've got a lot of stuff on defense that we've got to clean up and improve on," Lynn said. "So that's where all my focus is right now.""
""definitely would love to keep D'Anton here.""
""I know our administration knows how valuable D'Anton is to us,""
D'Anton Lynn said he has not been contacted about UCLA's head coaching vacancy and is concentrating on preparing USC's defense for the Michigan State game. He emphasized the defense needs cleanup and improvement. Lynn signed a contract extension with USC in January that made him one of the highest-paid assistants after Penn State pursued him for its defensive coordinator job. He transformed USC's defense in one season, cutting points allowed by about 10 per game and improving run defense and tackling. The defense has allowed 16.7 points per game through three weeks in 2025. Lynn previously overhauled UCLA's defense into a consensus top-10 unit.
