HOAX: This Facebook post advertising vacancies at Naivas is fraudulent
"This Facebook post purportedly advertising job vacancies at retail chain Naivas is a HOAX. The post suggests that the author is the head of recruitment and asks interested applicants to provide their name, location, and current job by sending a message via Facebook Messenger. The supposed ad, which features the Naivas logo, also lists the available vacancies- supervisors, drivers, cashiers, storekeepers, cleaners, marketers, distributors, shelf attendants, packers and packagers and receptionists, and the salary range for the said jobs."
"A further review of the careers section on the company's website shows no trace of the jobs as of 31 January 2026. PesaCheck contacted the retailer on X regarding the jobs' authenticity, which Naivas denied. "Please beware. We're not hiring at the moment, and we never charge for recruitment. Stay tuned on our website for any updates," reads a post in response to PesaCheck's query."
A Facebook post claimed retail chain Naivas advertised multiple job vacancies and featured the Naivas logo. The post asked applicants to send their name, location and current job via Facebook Messenger and listed roles such as supervisors, drivers, cashiers, storekeepers, cleaners, marketers, distributors, shelf attendants, packers, packagers and receptionists along with a salary range. Red flags included the informal Messenger application mode, absence of phone numbers or email addresses, and lack of role-specific requirements or deadlines. Naivas' official Facebook and X accounts and the careers page showed no such vacancies as of 31 January 2026. Naivas denied the jobs and warned that it never charges for recruitment. The post was identified as a hoax.
