Anthony Joshua says he would be willing to 'kill' Jake Paul in chilling warning to American underdog
"I was actually looking at myself today, I'm a very respectful guy brought up by a good family. But if I can kill you, I will kill you. That's just how I am and this is just the job I do, so let's go. I'm carrying boxing on my back, I did it with the Francis Ngannou fight and I'm doing it again."
"'One of us is going to sleep. That's what we're going to do here,' he said. 'That's what this heavyweight fight's about. All glory to God. Thank you God, thank you Jesus for this moment. I'm so grateful for everybody. I started my boxing journey here in Miami. We're bringing it back and I'm going to shock the world and pull off the biggest upset in sports history.'"
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in Miami on Friday. Joshua declared he would show no mercy and said he would be willing to kill Paul, framing the confrontation as part of his job and claiming he is carrying boxing on his back after the Francis Ngannou fight. Promoter Eddie Hearn acknowledged the primary motivation is a massive purse of around £70m for each fighter. Jake Paul has won 12 of 13 professional bouts and expressed confidence he can deliver a monumental upset, saying one of them will be put to sleep.
