Six new daily trains between Germany and Poland to launch this winter
"Starting December 14th, Deutsche Bahn (DB) and the Polish State Railways (PKP) will increase the number of direct trains connecting Germany and Poland, from 11 to 17 daily return journeys, DB has announced. The move comes in response to a clear rise in passenger demand for travel between the neighbouring countries, and is designed to offer travellers more frequent and faster cross-border options."
"One of the highlights of the expanded service is a brand-new direct route connecting Leipzig with Wrocaw and Krakow, running twice a day in each direction. The journey time from Leipzig to Wrocaw is expected to be around three and a half hours. From December 14, Deutsche Bahn and the Polish State Railways will raise direct daily return services between Germany and Poland from 11 to 17 to meet rising passenger demand. Berlin and Warsaw will be linked by trains every two hours, and travel times from southern and western German cities to Poland will be reduced. A new Leipzig–Wrocaw–Krakow direct route will run twice daily with a Leipzig–Wrocaw journey of about three and a half hours. Chemnitz and Dresden will be served via northern Saxony stops. Additional overnight Eurocity services and expanded night-train carriages will improve southern Germany–southern Poland connections.
