San Jose museum gives look at history of Vietnam War, refugees who fled to US
Briefly

The Viet Museum at History Park in San Jose serves as a poignant representation of the Vietnamese community, showcasing artifacts that narrate the history and experiences surrounding the Vietnam War. Established by V Vn Lc, a former Vietnamese Army colonel, it presents items such as military uniforms, an airplane fragment, and personal items like compasses used by refugees. President Quinn Tran reflects on the significance of these artifacts, stating that each piece has its own story, deeply connected to the community's past and individual family histories.
To me, it is the soul of the Vietnamese community here, said Quinn Tran, the current president of the Viet Museum at History Park in San Jose. Each artifact is a story in itself.
Among the artifacts that were dug up was the pilot's watch. Other items on display mirror Tran's family history, including her brother, who was imprisoned in a re-education camp.
