Rose Namajunas Says It's Not Personal With Maverick
Briefly

UFC flyweight Rose Namajunas prepares to face Miranda Maverick, a former training partner, at UFC Atlanta. Although they have sparred together, Namajunas emphasizes that the upcoming bout is strictly professional. She reflects on their training history and indicates that Maverick's desire to compete for her spot is part of the fight business. Additionally, Namajunas expresses her willingness to face UFC strawweight champion Weili Zhang again if Zhang moves up to 125 pounds, indicating her readiness for high-profile matchups regardless of past relationships.
Namajunas revealed, 'No second thoughts (on taking the fight) or anything. It's something that I wasn't like super surprised by... Miranda was one of the first people to kind of throw her name in the hat.'
She added, 'I know that this is the fight business. She wants what I have, she wants my spot, and I got to just show her that she has to look for a different spot.'
Namajunas expressed her interest in a potential matchup with Weili Zhang, stating, 'For sure. At 115 we did that twice there. If she was able to (move up) then yeah that would be something that at 125 would make it a little different.'
