Why former PFL champ Gadzhi Rabadanov isn't chasing title shot
"I'm excited; after I had surgery, I rested, recovered and now I'm very healthy. I think the time off since my last fight has helped me. I feel good, I feel rested and I'm ready. I'm hungry like I was before."
"It was a good experience for me, but it was so hard. If the PFL did this again, I would not come back to the tournament again. The last two years, I had to kill myself to stay active, I was killing my body, it was so hard."
Gadzhi Rabadanov has been a prominent competitor in the PFL lightweight division, recently winning the 2024 season. After a challenging year, including a championship loss, he is set to fight Aleksandr Chizov on May 2. Rabadanov feels rejuvenated after surgery and is eager to return to the cage. He appreciates the experience gained from the previous tournament format but is relieved to move forward without the intense demands of tournament fighting, allowing him to focus on his health and performance.
