Google is set to release Android 16 today, concluding its beta phase and available only for Pixel 6 and newer models running Android 15 or the beta. Other manufacturers are expected to roll out updates shortly. Users on the Android 16 QPR 1 Beta 1 will not receive the final version as an over-the-air update since QPR represents a separate quarterly update track, which is anticipated to introduce a significant UI overhaul called Material 3 Expressive in the fall.
This is only for supported Pixel phones (Pixel 6-series and newer). They need to be running either Android 15 or an Android 16 beta.
Note that if you are running Android 16 QPR 1 Beta 1, you will not receive Android 16 final as an over-the-air update.
