Instagram introduces Repost and location sharing
Briefly

Instagram has rolled out new features including Repost, allowing public reels and feed posts to be shared easily, with reposted content gaining additional visibility from broader audiences. The reposts are organized in a separate tab on user profiles, credited to the original creator. Another feature introduced is Instagram Map, which shares users' last active location selectively with friends. Location sharing is turned off by default, and parents can manage teens' location sharing permissions. Users can view location-tagged content on the map from friends and creators.
Instagram has introduced a new Repost feature, enabling users to repost public reels and feed posts, with these reposts shown in a dedicated tab on profiles.
The Repost feature allows original posters to gain more visibility, as reposted content gets recommended to followers of the person who reposted it, increasing audience reach.
The Instagram Map feature enables users to share their last active location selectively with chosen friends, allowing them to view content from their network at specific locations.
Location sharing is optional, with settings allowing users to select specific friends for sharing, while parental controls enable monitoring of teens' location sharing activities.
