Samsung's Galaxy S25 family outsold the Galaxy S24 series

"The Galaxy S25 devices sold 5% more in that period than the Galaxy S24 phones. At the same time, the Galaxy S25 Ultra sold 7% more than the S24 Ultra. Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 family's sales started off below those of the Galaxy S24 devices in February, matched them in March, and then were above until December."

Counterpoint Research compared Samsung's Galaxy S25 and S24 sales performance during their February-to-December release year periods. The S25 family achieved 5% higher sales than the S24 series, while the S25 Ultra specifically grew 7% compared to the S24 Ultra. Sales trajectories differed initially, with S25 devices starting below S24 levels in February, matching them in March, then exceeding them through December. The S25 Ultra demonstrated strong mid-cycle momentum with sales increases in July and October, finishing in the top 10 best-selling smartphones of 2025. The Ultra model dominates Samsung's flagship lineup, representing 46% of S25 family sales versus 45% for the S24 Ultra, while base models account for 35-36% and Plus variants comprise 19% of their respective families.
