"I didn't think we'd ever manage to put out a record together. People have been asking about one since we started playing together, and these recordings actually sounded like us. Which is to say, they're not perfect, but they are real."
Dan Reeder, a cultishly loved musician and visual artist, and his daughter Peggy have released Dan and Peggy Reeder Live, their debut album together via Oh Boy Records, where Dan is the longest-signed artist. The album was recorded during their 2024 and 2025 tours. Reeder expressed that he didn't anticipate releasing a record with his daughter despite years of audience requests since they began performing together. The recordings capture their authentic sound, prioritizing genuine performances over technical perfection. To promote the album, the Reeders performed in New York City, making their Late Show with Stephen Colbert debut and playing a show at Le Poisson Rouge with Isaac Stalling.
