Foo Fighters Bring New Songs and Classics to First-Ever Tiny Desk Concert
"In between songs, Grohl also shouted out two of his favorite Tiny Desk Concerts: D.C. funk legends Trouble Funk and the rapper Juvenile. Watch Foo Fighters' full Tiny Desk Concert below. Foo Fighters are coming off a busy period celebrating Your Favorite Toy, during which they appeared on Colbert, performed a rowdy club show in New York, guested on the web series Track Star, and headlined Florida's Welcome to Rockville."
Foo Fighters visited the NPR office for their first Tiny Desk Concert, bringing five tracks including two from Your Favorite Toy. They opened with “Spit Shine,” bringing high energy and volume despite the acoustic-ish setting. They followed with “Learn to Fly,” which matched the stripped-down format. They then performed “Child Actor,” with Dave Grohl joking about accidentally inhaling his own hair during a recent Saturday Night Live UK appearance. The set closed with “My Hero” and “Everlong” from The Colour and The Shape, including crowd singing on “My Hero.” Grohl also praised Trouble Funk and Juvenile between songs. The band is continuing momentum from Your Favorite Toy and preparing for a major 2026 tour with Queens of the Stone Age.
