"Free Beginners Swing Lessons | Noon to 12:30 pm Lindy in the Park offers a free weekly beginning swing dance lesson, taught by Hep Jen. The lessons are short, easy and fun and then you can practice your new steps with the whole group until 2 pm. No partner is required, as they rotate leaders and followers throughout the lesson."
Lindy in the Park is a free outdoor swing dance gathering every Sunday on JFK Drive between 8th and 10th behind the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park. Streets close to traffic and dancers take over from 11 am to 2 pm. A free beginner swing lesson runs from noon to 12:30 pm and is taught by Hep Jen; lessons are short, easy, and fun, with partner rotation so no partner is required. The event resumed June 20, 2021 and is held weekly, including holidays, rain and Bay to Breakers cancellations aside. Rare cancellations are posted on the event website, usually by 10 am Sunday.
