Morrissey canceled performances at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Connecticut and MGM Music Hall in Fenway after venues reported credible death threats against him. Tickets were automatically refunded at the original points of purchase and the artist's team cited safety concerns for the artist and band when announcing cancellations. MGM Music Hall confirmed a credible death threat and canceled the Saturday show out of caution. The North American tour began Sept. 10 in Quebec; an Ottawa show faced an alleged online death threat by an accused individual but proceeded as planned. Morrissey, 66, is the former Smiths frontman and performs solo material as well as Smiths songs on tour.
