Trivium announced the release of their three-song EP, 'Struck Dead,' set for October 31. The opening track, 'Bury Me with My Screams,' showcases frontman Matt Heafy’s dual-vocal style, blending clean singing and gutturals. The band has upgraded their hangar space into a fully functional studio in 2023, collaborating with designer Roger D'Arcy. The writing process incorporated themes from the band's history and personal struggles, resulting in a cathartic creative experience. The EP was produced and recorded in their new studio, with plans to coincide its release with their North American tour starting the same day.
In 2023, we decided it was finally time to take the next step with The Hangar space we purchased - it was time to turn it into a full studio.
During that time, the energy of revisiting Ascendancy started bleeding into these new songs. Matt poured a lot of his personal struggles from the past year into the music.
Those sessions evolved into a three-song EP that we're incredibly proud of.
