The Bronx History Museum presents 'When the Bronx Moved: Histories of Dance 1970-84,' an exhibit honoring the borough's influential dance culture and the pioneers who created worldwide dance movements. The showcase uses personal photographs, vintage clothing, oral histories, video clips, and memorabilia to transport visitors to the era when dance dominated the Bronx. The exhibit features dance styles including Latin Hustle, Rocking, Burning, Breakin' and Boogying. Curators designed the immersive experience to capture years of dance history and culture in a single comprehensive presentation. The museum is located at 3266 Bainbridge Avenue and is open weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
