Mob chased Brooklyn woman after mistaking her for protester at speech by Israeli security minister
Briefly

A woman in Brooklyn was attacked by a mob of Orthodox Jewish men who misidentified her as a protester during a demonstration against Israel's far-right security minister. As she approached the area out of curiosity, she was encircled and threatened, leaving her fearing for her life. The situation escalated to violence, with threats of assault and physical harassment that went unaddressed by the police. The incident highlights tensions related to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict and raises concerns about public safety and police response in such scenarios.
As soon as I pulled up my scarf, a group of 100 men came over immediately and encircled me. They were shouting at me, threatening to rape me.
I thought the police would protect me from the mob, but they did nothing to intervene.
I felt sheer terror. I realized at that point that I couldn't lead this mob of men to my home. I had nowhere to go.
