Chabad-Lubavitch representatives confirmed that police effectively prevented protesting crowds from entering the neighborhood. The Shomrim community watch groups, alongside residents, patrolled the area, managing to keep peace amidst the heightened anxiety. Radical groups have called for further meetings to discuss the protests, expressing discontent toward organizers for a lack of preparedness.

Chabad-Lubavitch spokesperson Rabbi Motti Seligson said the protesters never made it to the neighborhood due to the NYPD deployments, and had instead wandered Brooklyn for three hours.
It was heartening to see scores of people, some Jewish and some not, who came to Crown Heights to protect the residents; they weren't looking for a fight.
