Time and Tide, a fish restaurant by Kent Hospitality and Top Chef winner Danny Garcia, is closing after a brief run. It will soon be replaced by a new concept following a successful pop-up of Massara, which was displaced by a kitchen fire. Massara will temporarily operate at a different location while repairs are made. CEO Jamal James Kent's passing has raised challenges for the original concept, but community support is evident as they navigate these changes together.
"Kent Hospitality Group is lending a helping hand to its friends at Massara ... after a fire caused their original location to close indefinitely," a spokesperson told Eater over email.
"We are extremely grateful no one was injured and for the FDNY's rapid response," said Secchi in a statement to Eater. "As rebuilding Massara will likely take a few months, our entire team is grateful to our friends at Kent Hospitality Group."
