The Cherry Lane Theatre, established in 1923, has been a significant part of New York's theater scene. Recently acquired by A24, it underwent a $2.3 million renovation and reopened in September 2025. The inaugural season features Natalie Palamides's one-person show, Weer, and currently showcases Clare Barron's play You Got Older. This play, which premiered in 2014, follows Mae as she returns home to care for her father with cancer. Barron reflects on the differences in performing the play now compared to when she first staged it at age 27.
