About 429,200 wireless portable phone chargers recalled after reports of fires and burns

Casely has initiated a recall of approximately 429,200 portable phone chargers due to safety concerns linked to overheating lithium-ion batteries. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission noted 51 incidents related to these battery issues, including minor burn injuries sustained during use. The affected Power Pods, sold online in various colors since March 2022, pose a significant fire risk. Consumers are urged to cease usage and seek a replacement from Casely. Proper disposal guidance for lithium-ion batteries is also recommended to avoid hazardous situations.

The recall involves Casely Power Pods 5000mAh portable MagSafe wireless phone charger with model number E33A, after 51 reports of battery overheating.

Consumers should immediately stop using the chargers and contact Casely for a free replacement, without needing proof of purchase.
