Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) stated on NBC's Meet the Press that he would decline any campaign donations from Elon Musk, contrasting with Rep. Ro Khanna's recent call for Democrats to reconsider their ties to the billionaire. While emphasizing the need to bridge the political divide, Booker advocated for Musk's involvement in pressing Congress against harmful policies. He clearly communicated his stance, asserting that this decision is not about party lines but moral responsibility, demonstrating support for bipartisan solutions over accepting funds from controversial figures.
We're stuck in this right/left divide right now. I will partner with anyone like I did in the last Congress, putting my vote alongside of John McCain, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins to stop the tearing down of the Affordable Care Act.
I would not accept money from Elon Musk for my campaign... But I would be supportive of anybody, including Elon Musk, putting resources forward right now to let more Americans know, sound the alarm, treat this like a Paul Revere moment.
