NYPD's Quality of Life Division, launched as a pilot initiative in April, will expand to all precincts across New York City by Labor Day. Mayor Adams and Commissioner Tisch highlighted substantial achievements from the pilot, which have effectively responded to over 7,500 calls. The initiative addresses non-criminal quality of life issues, reducing response times significantly and focusing on community concerns, aiming to elevate residents' perceptions of safety and well-being.
Since the rollout, the six Quality of Life Teams have responded to more than 7,500 911 and 311 calls, reflecting the immediate and undeniable impact of our actions.
The new Quality of Life Division aims to address issues affecting New Yorkers' feelings of safety and well-being, responding to real complaints from the community.
