Long Island prosecutors are pursuing the seizure of a $1.2 million home on Fire Island connected to Frank Saggio, a convicted felon running a prostitution ring. Saggio, along with his associates, allegedly operated two brothels across Suffolk County, utilizing a police officer and a gym teacher in their operations. They charged prostitutes exorbitant fees disguised as "leases" yet paid them nothing for their work. The civil forfeiture action underscores the breadth of Saggio's criminal enterprise and its connections within law enforcement.
The crew allegedly forced the prostitutes to sign "leases" for the rooms they worked out of - charging them $6,000 a month to work in Holbrook and $12,000 in West Babylon, but they weren't paid for their services and only earned tips, according to prosecutors.
Suffolk DA Ray Tierney expressed the gravity of the situation stating, 'It is a sad day in law enforcement when a public servant is arrested.'
