Queens man indicted for alleged $7M deed fraud theft

Wing Fung Chau has been charged with two counts of first-degree grand larceny and three counts of first-degree falsifying business records. The allegations involve him creating false documents to sell property owned by 37-19 Realty Inc. without the consent of fellow shareholders, thereby attempting to embezzle around $7 million. Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez emphasized the importance of protecting property owners from fraudulent actions in the rising Brooklyn real estate market. Chau was ordered to return to court in June 2025, facing a bail set at $10,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
Gonzalez stated, "This defendant allegedly attempted to steal approximately $7 million using forged documents and false filings... I remain committed to protecting property owners from fraudsters."
The defendant, one of three shareholders of 37-19 Realty Inc., created false documents to sell a joint property without the knowledge of his fellow shareholders.
