Leaders of 'orgasmic meditation' women's wellness company OneTaste convicted in forced labor trial
Briefly

Nicole Daedone, founder of OneTaste Inc., and Rachel Cherwitz, former sales director, were convicted by a Brooklyn jury for running a forced labor scheme. Over a five-week trial, prosecutors presented evidence of coercion, abuse, and indoctrination that exploited victims, many of whom were sexually traumatized. The women allegedly led members to engage in degrading sexual acts under the guise of seeking 'freedom' and 'enlightenment'. Following the verdict, U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella labeled them as 'grifters' who misrepresented sexual empowerment for personal gain. Each faces up to 20 years in prison during sentencing.
The jury's verdict has unmasked Daedone and Cherwitz for who they truly are: grifters who preyed on vulnerable victims by making empty promises of sexual empowerment and wellness.
Prosecutors argued the two women ran a yearslong scheme that groomed adherents to do their bidding, using economic, sexual, and psychological abuse.
