"The former first round pick has proven to be a hidden gem for the Wizards and considering Washington managed to snag a versatile playmaker out of what many labeled as the weakest NBA Drafts in recent memory, that alone proves the team is on the right track. If Washington can continue to find hidden talent in the back half of NBA Drafts, the team's rebuild could be in good hands moving forward."
"Obviously, the numbers are impressive considering his jump from his rookie season, where he averaged 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists. However, based on the start of the year, it seemed as if George would be prepared to put together a monster season. Nonetheless, after an extremely strong start to the year, the Miami product has seemingly cooled off a bit, especially as an offensive scorer."
Kyshawn George emerged as a versatile playmaker for the Washington Wizards after being a former first-round pick from a weak draft. He averages 14.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists while shooting 46.2% overall and 43.9% from three. His production improved markedly from his rookie averages of 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists. George started the season extremely strong but has cooled somewhat as an offensive scorer, at times appearing timid about when to attack versus facilitate. He demonstrates high basketball IQ, earns coach Brian Keefe’s trust to run the offense through him, and expresses confidence and determination to refine decision-making. Continued identification of late-draft talent would benefit the Wizards’ rebuild.
