The Mavericks have a full roster currently, although guard Brandon Williams is on a partially guaranteed contract."

Smith later moved to the Detroit Pistons and spent subsequent seasons with multiple NBA teams before playing the 2024-25 season with Real Madrid in the Euroleague. He is 27 and has career averages of 9.7 points, 4.2 assists and 3 rebounds over 326 games in seven NBA seasons.
