Sources: Bonner expected to sign with Mercury
Briefly

WNBA veteran DeWanna Bonner is anticipated to sign with the Phoenix Mercury shortly. Drafted in 2009, Bonner won two WNBA titles with the Mercury before spending five seasons with the Connecticut Sun. She joined the Indiana Fever this year but played only nine games and was waived due to a poor fit. Bonner expressed gratitude towards the Fever and averages in double figures in scoring across her WNBA career, having been a full-time starter since 2012.
"I want to sincerely thank the Indiana Fever for the opportunity to be part of the Fever franchise. Despite our shared goals and excitement heading into the season, I felt the fit did not work out and I appreciate the organization's willingness to grant my request to move on, particularly at this point in my career."
"Bonner averaged in double figures in scoring in each of her 15 previous seasons in the WNBA. She was Sixth Woman of the Year her first three seasons but has been a full-time starter since 2012."
