Unrivaled players rave over record crowd at Philly tour stop
"You could feel the love tonight. I'm so glad we came here. I just can't explain it more than I was just so filled up with joy. It was amazing."
"It was just what women's basketball deserves."
"It's just a testament to what we're building here, how much people believe in it."
The Unrivaled league's Philadelphia stop attracted 21,490 fans to Xfinity Mobile Arena, setting records for a regular-season women's professional basketball game and the venue's largest crowd. The stop was the league's first game outside Miami and Philadelphia's first professional women's basketball contest since 1998. A two-day celebration included a community event and clinic, followed by a double-header where the Phantom beat the Breeze 71-68 and the Lunar Owls defeated the Rose 85-75. Fans arrived hours early wearing Unrivaled and WNBA gear, with several celebrities attending courtside. Philadelphia is scheduled to receive a WNBA expansion team in 2030.
