This comes as Fagbenle, averaging a career-high 10.3 points per game, will miss several weeks alongside other European players. Chen, a recent NCAA champion and Bibby, an MVP from the Polish league, aim to bolster the team's performance. Fagbenle expressed confidence in her team’s ability to maintain success despite her absence, emphasizing teamwork and resilience.
Fagbenle stated, "We know what it takes to be great teammates and we know what it takes to step up and do what we need to do for the team to succeed. So whoever leaves, it's gonna be fine."
Bibby, the 26-year-old MVP of the Polish league, said during preseason, "I’m looking to bring my experience and contribute positively to the team’s success this season."
