The New York Liberty defeated the Minnesota Lynx 85-75 in the final regular-season meeting, completing a four-game stretch in three weeks that saw Minnesota win three of four. The Liberty hold a 22-13 record with nine regular-season games remaining while the Lynx sit at 28-6 and atop the standings. The compact, late-season series provided a closer preview of potential playoff matchups and team readiness with playoffs opening Sept. 14. Jonquel Jones offers a major matchup advantage for New York against Minnesota’s smaller frontcourt, and Jones has been highly efficient against the Lynx this season.
