Man Breaks Into Brooklyn home, Sexually Assaults Woman While Sleeping: Police
"According to police sources, the attack took place around 2:15 a.m. on Aug. 30 inside an apartment near Berriman Street and Liberty Avenue in East New York. Authorities say the suspect climbed through a kitchen window while the 71-year-old woman was asleep, and then made his way toward her bedroom. Once inside her room, police say the attacker choked and groped the woman before fleeing on foot, taking her pajama pants and heading southbound on Atkins Avenue to an unknown location."
"The incident was reported to the 75th Precinct, and EMS rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. The suspect remains at large, police said. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and black-and-white sneakers. Detectives have released surveillance images of the attacker and are asking the public for help in identifying him.
