A 40-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run incident while crossing a Bronx roadway. The accident occurred at East 138th Street and Bruckner Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. The man was struck by a northbound tractor-trailer and then hit again by a Honda CRV. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Honda remained at the scene, while the tractor-trailer driver fled. The NYPD Highway District Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
