Jaxson Dart, Jameis Winston doing the Giants shuffle at camp
Briefly

Jaxson Dart, the rookie quarterback, is learning to adapt as the Giants switch him and Jameis Winston during practice drills. The coaching staff employs a strategy where quarterbacks do not know when substitutions will occur, promoting quick preparation and adaptability. Dart views this unpredictability as important for his development, while Winston finds it amusing due to past experiences. Despite the changes, Dart performed well in practice, showcasing his ability to handle surprise situations and the need for game-like reps. Coach Brian Daboll's strategy involves overwhelming young quarterbacks to enhance their processing skills.
We go into each day, you don't know what reps you're getting, so you have to make sure you prepare for anything and everything. I think that really helps because you don't know when your number is going to be called and you gotta be ready to ball in any situation that you're given.
Every time I have a good drive, they're gonna take me out and put a kid from Utah to come score a touchdown. But no, [Dart] needs those reps. He needs those red-zone reps.
Sometimes they don't even know when they're going in or the offensive coaches don't know when I'm switching them either.
