Yankees prospects: Week 18 minor league recap
Briefly

The Yankees' minor league system underwent significant changes after the trade deadline as they opted for quality over quantity. The Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRiders achieved a record of 63-41 and currently lead the International League (East). During the past week, they won four of six games against the Nashville Sounds. Standout performances included Erick Leal's complete game shutout and T.J. Rumfield's contributions, despite facing a competitive atmosphere due to ongoing player trades and transactions.
The RailRiders have steadily climbed the leaderboards for the past couple months, and after winning four of six against Nashville they now lead their division for the first time all season.
Scranton dropped the first game of the series 7-3, as Scott Effross got blown up for four runs while recording just one out after a promising rehab start from Luis Gil.
The RailRiders took both games of Friday's doubleheader, winning the first game 2-0 and the second 8-3, with Erick Leal dominating in the first.
The new-look offense showed up in the second game, led by T.J. Rumfield who went 3-4 and blasted his 12th homer of the year.
