Chelsea Handler chooses not to have children but pursued parenting classes and strong relationships with many kids. Not having her own children gives her the bandwidth to spend time with numerous children as a big sister or parental figure. Handler maintains a close bond with three daughters of an ex-boyfriend and seeks to provide the presence she lacked growing up as the youngest of six with parents who were checked out. Handler aimed to be the parent who shows up to games, school conferences and plays, filling the role she wished she had experienced.
